Australia overtakes Canada
Australia overtook Canada in house-price increases in the first quarter of 2010, signaling that as global real-estate markets continue to improve, other markets are catching up to Canada’s pace of growth, according to the Global Real Estate Trends report released by Scotia Economics.
The survey is based on the five major developed economies for which first-quarter data are available — Australia, Canada, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
