House prices rise by 20%
Australian capital city house prices have risen by 20% over the year to March, latest government data shows.
The Australian capital city house price index, released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, shows house prices rose by 4.8 per cent over the quarter alone.
All capital cities posted double-digit growth over the year to March.
Property prices are still seeing strong growth and it's important to realise that this isn't going to be solved by raising interest rates, experts say.
