Property market takes a breather
A new report shows that despite exceptionally strong annual growth in Australian property markets, prices have started to cool.
Australian Property Monitors’ Quarterly Housing Report, released today, showed national median house prices in the March quarter growing a moderate 3.1%, despite a significant annual rise of 16.2%.
Specialists predict that the medium-to-long-term outlook for property prices remains strong, as demand continues to outstrip supply.
We still expect the 2010 annual rate of national house price growth to settle in the 8–10% range.
